Enneagram 8s - Created to Desire, Called to Delight Series


DESIRE -- To feel safe and protected, both for themselves and those they care about deeply (ultimately not for power but peace) in a world that feels threatening and a source of betrayal.

 

DOUBT -- The loyalty, honesty (tests for truth), and motives of others. Their own feelings. Beneath the strong armour lies these tender questions. "Will I be betrayed if I let my guard down?”, “Can I trust anyone to truly have my back?”

 

DRINK -- From the well of Hope; Jesus and God’s unshakeable faithfulness— an invitation to rest in God’s power. To know and feel protected, not having to BE the protector.

 

DELIGHT -- In the beauty that emerges when you dare to embrace and take a risk to TRUST. (innocence & joy show up). Compassion will resurrect after being buried with responsibility. Connection is no longer a weakness but what you were made for! (belonging). Courage in its deepest form is not truly being strong, but being vulnerable with gentleness. Softness emerges, and it’s a cherished blessing, no longer a barrier.




   

 PS. 56:11 - "In God I have put my TRUST, I shall not be afraid,  What can man do to me?"

 

Ex. 14:14 - "The Lord will fight for you, you only need

to be still."
