Reflection -- Servant-hearted nature of God. His nurturing and generous relational love.
Enneagram 2’s are recognized for their caring, compassionate, and often very thoughtful, self-giving love and service.
Wrestle -- expectations, over-giving, people-pleasing, denial.
This often “innocent” purpose, without an internal heart check (unmet needs), can lead to a “giving to get” or “need to be needed” cause that can result in resentment and even manipulation when love (own strength) becomes conditional.
Response -- Jesus’s love flowed forth from the fullness of his union with the Father.
REST in the care and delight of your good Father!
RECEIVE His unconditional love that REPLENISHES your soul, pointing others to Christ as your love is freely and abundantly given in His strength.
Remember -- Jesus doesn’t love you because you serve; He invites you to serve because you are loved.
Isaiah 40:31 - "Those who wait on the Lord will gain new strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run and not get tired. They will walk and not become weary."
Matt. 10:30-31 - “Come to me, all who are weary and I will give you rest.”
