Reflection -- God’s holiness and moral purity;
Enneagram 1’s are regarded as ethical, virtuous, integral. Having a deep concern and care for what is truly right and good. A strong sense of justice.
Wrestle -- perfectionism, control, corrective spirit;
An inner tension can arise (frustration) as you, others and the world are not as it could be (flawless), so from personal obligation of resolve, you make known what is wrong, appearing as helpful advice.
Response -- Jesus embodied perfect righteousness on your behalf!
TRUST God’s plan of restoration and RELEASE the overwhelming burden of "betterment" to Him.
RECEIVE God’s invitation to walk in alignment with the truth of the gospel that you are GOOD, cherished and loved, imperfect and all, by His works, not yours.
From this heart posture comes GRACE, COMPASSION and REST.
Remember -- God alone is responsible for changing and perfecting others.
Jesus showed grace alongside justice. You are called not just to reform God's creation, but to restore it in relationship with joy, wisdom and peace.
Ps. 37:4-6 "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in Him, and He will do it. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light."
